What are Velvet’s hours of operation?

We are open from 9am-9pm daily. We are closed on Christmas and New Years Day, and we close at 6pm on Thanksgiving Day and July 4th.

Shopping at Velvet

What are the requirements to shop at Velvet?

All customers must be 21 years of age or older with a valid photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport. Unfortunately, we cannot accept expired IDs.

I am 18 years old with a valid medical marijuana card from a licensed CA physician. Can I shop at Velvet?

No. Because we operate a recreational cannabis dispensary, we require all customers to be 21 years of age or older.

I am not a California resident. Can I still shop at Velvet?

Yes! As long as you are 21 years of age or older with a valid photo ID.

Do I have to pay taxes on my purchases at Velvet?

Yes. Taxes are added at the point of sale.

Does my medical marijuana card exempt my purchase from sales tax?

If you have a MMIC (Medical Marijuana Identification Card), your purchase will be exempt from the cannabis tax, but not sales tax.

Where can I park?

Velvet has a dedicated parking lot, as well as street parking. Please park in one of the designated Velvet spots if parking in our lot.

Are Velvet stores ADA accessible?

Yes.

Are service animals allowed inside Velvet?

Yes.

What forms of payment does Velvet accept?

Velvet accepts cash and PIN-based debit cards. ATMs are available in-store.

Is there a limit on how much I can purchase per visit?

Yes. California regulations allow customers to purchase up to 28.5 grams of cannabis flower, or up to 8 grams of cannabis concentrate daily.

Does Velvet allow on-site consumption?

No, we do not currently offer on-site consumption.

Online Orders & Delivery

How do I place my order online?

Customers can shop our up-to-date menus using the “Shop” drop-down menu above, or by clicking the links below:

Orders are generally packed and ready for pick-up within 10 minutes. You will receive a text message when your order is complete.

Can I pay for my order online?

No, but you can place an order online and pay at time of pick-up.

How long is my online order held?

We will hold your order for 24 hours after the order was placed.

Can I cancel or edit my order after it has been placed?

Yes.

How do I apply discounts, gift cards, or loyalty points to my online order?

All discounts are applied in-store at the point of sale.

Does Velvet offer curbside pick-up?

No. However, if you place your order online, you can proceed directly to the online order pick-up line for quicker service.

Does Velvet offer delivery?

Velvet does not currently offer delivery.

Inventory

Does Velvet sell clones or seeds?

No, we do not currently offer clones or seeds.

Does Velvet sell products that might help with sleep and/or anxiety?

We offer products with a wide range of cannabinoid ratios that may be effective in providing relief for a variety of issues. Our educated budtenders can work with you to find products that address your specific needs.

What brands does Velvet carry?

Velvet stocks a wide variety of both well-known and boutique brands. Check our up-to-date menu to view our current inventory.

Does Velvet sell paraphernalia?

Velvet does stock rolling papers and vaporizer batteries, but we do not sell pipes, bongs, or other smoking accessories.

The Velvet Rope Loyalty Program

Does Velvet have a customer loyalty program? If so, how does it work?

Yes! You can sign up for our customer loyalty program in-store or here. Once signed up, you will accrue points with every purchase that can be applied to future purchases. Your points are stored and managed in your online wallet. You will also receive occasional text updates with special offers, rare product drops, and information about events at Velvet. You can opt out at any time.

Can I combine my loyalty points with other deals or promotions?

No, but our budtenders will ensure that you get the greatest savings on each specific purchase at check-out.

Discounts, Promotions & Gift Cards

Does Velvet offer military discounts?

Yes! We offer 10% discounts every day for retired and active duty military members, and 15% discounts all day on Military Mondays.

Does Velvet offer Senior discounts?

Yes! We offer 10% discounts every day to Seniors (55+), and 15% discounts all day on Senior Sundays and during our Senior Happy Hour every Tuesday from 9am-noon.

Can I combine different types of discounts/promotions/loyalty points?

No, we do not stack discounts, but our budtenders will ensure that you get the greatest savings on each specific purchase at check-out.

Does Velvet sell gift cards?

Yes! We offer gift cards for sale in-store. They are available in denominations of $25, $50, and $100.

How do online orders work during Velvet’s Happy Hours?

Happy Hour discounts are applied to online pre-orders that are picked up during Happy Hour, as well as online orders that are placed during Happy Hour, provided that they are picked up by the end of that day.

Are discounts applied to online orders that are picked up the following day?

Yes. The discount from the day that the order was placed will be applied to the purchase at pick-up.

Return Policy

I was accidentally sold the wrong item.

Please bring the item back with your receipt and we will exchange it for the correct item.

I was accidentally sold an expired item.

Please bring the item back with your receipt and we will exchange it for a newer item.

My sealed package did not contain the correct amount of product.

Because we receive all of our products sealed from our brand partners, occasionally there will be empty or underfilled packages. If this is the case, please bring the package back with your receipt and we will replace it with a new item.

My vape battery or cartridge is not working.

Please bring the item back with your receipt and we will exchange it for a functional item.
